In 2009, I began what turned out to be a 3 year project. I had been doing some writing for Octet and was interested in writing enough material to put an album of music together. After talking to War about the idea, and figuring out who would be into doing this with me, we had our first session in the spring of 2009 at the UFO Factory. For 3 days we recorded this crazy music that I had been working on and although we weren't nearly at a full albums length of material, the experience was motivation enough to keep writing and plan for another session. So that fall we went back into the studio and recorded for 3 more days. Stars is the result.
I would like to thank all of people who were involved in the making of this album. It was an amazing experience.
This music was carefully written by ear.
